BIG ads all over the city... (we're down to the left :-)

France here we come!!
France is a great country for us to play in, for many reasons. One is that we have a fantastic booking agent, Dominique Berard. After working together since 2005, we know eachother pretty well by now, and he always make sure everything works out the best way when we're coming over... like picking us up in a great van like this!!

We arrived one day before the gig at BolD'or to be in good shape at the gig. It was a good idea! Unfortunately we drove through Paris and got stuck in the afternoon traffic, but finally we got out.. and arrived at Bol D'or at 22.30...
..arrrrggghhh moooove!!!
...rockspotting the EiffelTower :-) (If you ever need a photographer, give me a call. Reds anm.)
Since we didn't want to stop on the way, we had dinner in the van.... French fastfood!
When we finally arrived, we had some dinner that they had saved for us. This cake wasn't for us though, but for the GMT 94 team! Then the promotor Elie took us on a walk in the area, it was really exciting to see the "backstage" of the race, with all the teams working hard with the setups for the race the next day.
Yamaha boys workin' hard...
Team leader Christophe Guyot with a signed poster for his daughter....
After the sightseeing and late dinner, we finally got to our hotel. After 12 hours of travelling, and 2 good night beers we all went to bed...
The next day we arrived to the stage around 12.30. After a fantastic lunch in the catering we had to hurry down to the racing track, since they were going to announce our gig right before the race started.
Motor cycle acrobat...
It was SO cool to walk out on the track.. I think we all were pretty nervous, we had no idea what was going to happen. As we walked out on the track, the audience started to scream like hell. We coudn't do nothing but laugh and wave a bit like the king and the queen use to do here in Sweden. -Learn from the best and you'll reach success!!

Yes it's true, the whole crowd screamed, and cheered at us... But they also screamed just as much 10 minutes later, when a human sized version of the guy below walked out on the track.... So we were immideately brought back down to earth.
Then we got to pose together with the Yamaha GMT 94 team; photographers were everywhere!
Short interview with the band right before the bikers first warm up round ...
STEAMIN ' HOT AND LOUD!! Warming up...

Watching the race..

..then finally, the race started. What a kick!! ..So cool to watch, so close!!
After 2 hours out on the racing track we had to go back for sound check. Here is our nice dressing room, in a big trailer.
Right before the gig. If you wonder why I look like I've seen a ghost, it's because in the time of 5 hours I succeeded to eat 3 times, including 3 plates of cheese, 3 desserts and 2 full main courses, very tasty so of course I had to eat it all, of course. The most stupid thing to do right before a gig. But it's VERY difficult to resist, especially in France... Ida had almost the same problem, but since she doesn't have to sing. So I mostly felt bad for myself. (but still, so happy.. )
So after the nights first act, Shaka Ponk, we entered the stage as the nights headliner. So many people, so many craaazy people! We played for 75 minutes, lots of fun. The stage was perfect, good sound and nice and professional crew. The security staff had to work hard since the audience at several points almost were tearing down the stage barriers. I don't want to think of what had happened, if they succeeded to break through!!
Yes, Hellacopter played here some years ago!! :-)
After the gig, we put our stuff together and drove back to the hotel. It was pretty late, and too much drunk bikers all over the place so we couldn't get back and watch the race from the team boxes where we were invited back if we wanted to. But we were pretty exhausted anyway so it didn't hurt us to go straight to the hotel. But of course, never go to bed without a good night drink!!
This weekend's backline boss Pontus Snibb, and Dominique Berard, on the way back to the airport.
And with this beautiful good night picture in the early morning, I leave you with all these great pictures to sink in.. Another adventure has come to an end and we got back home safe.
Thanks to Bol D'or, Elie and Dominique for the great time :-)
