hey all, so..... what is our excuse for not updating this blog since January 8? well here are a couple of options. - we have been spoiled rotten with all the success (yeah right...) - we don't fucking care about the people that read the blog (nope)
- we got a mission from the UN to solve the peace problem globally (hardly)
- we are lazy ( there you go )
So with that out of the way....I will not make any more priomisies that I will not keep, let me put it this way....I will update the blog from time to time....good enough? I have to treat you to some pictures....it is probably like a band-aid on a broken leg....but hell....it's a band-aid anyway.
To start with...we won the prestigous award "the best breakthrough of the year" at "Bandit rock Awards" we got to play there also in the presence of greatness like, Sonic Syndicate, Dark Tranquillity, Mustasch, Royal Republic and Biffy Clyro and because we won we got to be on stage twice.... and here is a picture of the sweet victory What more you say...?
Well I have been praciticing my strip-pole routine to have something to fall back on if the rock'n'roll stops...or.... I just do it to get through college..
On a more serious note...we are in the studio making our new album and so far....soooooo good. On the pic you see Jens singing away on one of the new tunes and Patrik Frisk looking and listening to it.
To continue on the more serious note....Peter also has ambitions to get through college..with our without a pole...sexy man isn't he? Watch out Lady GaGa, behold the competition....and he is all man...looks like this picture has been tampered with in Photoshop but I assure you that I don't have a clue on how to do that so this is the real deal, a lumber-jack top with a show-girl bottom....mmmm yummy.
This weekend we will rock the Bandit Boat 9.

Hey all, so.... ( I just can't stop now, can I, haha ) a week in to 2010 and I am at home with a cold borded beyond sanity and outside it is -33 degrees celcius, yep you read the numbers right -33, no kidding.
I was thinking of last year and the summary that I wrote the last time, it struck me that I sort of left out the essence of why we travel around...well travel more or less successfully ( i.e bus ) and that is because we love to play infront of an audience that want to hear us play. Sounds cheezy enough, cue the violins? well it is the truth and for that reason I have gathered some pictures from last year taken by some great photographers and...Bjarne. Speaking of buses, as you know we own two...one white and one...eeh blueish...brownish...rusitsh, well anyway...considering that we have two it is sort of amazing that we currently can't drive either of them. The white has to be fixed before we are allowed to drive on a public road again, and the blueish is sort of....tired. Well we need to get something done by next thursday when we start our spring tour....(-33 spring...hmmm) in Åre and the day after in Sälen.
Nevermind the bus-issues, back to the pictures, I'll guide you through them, we seem to have no pictures from the place where there was no audience at all....strange...
OK, starting off the "2009 from the stage perspective tour" is a picture taken by Bjarne from stage at Hotel Mittlandia in Ånge, hometown-gig and lots of people, great memory, a bit blurry you say? Well the audience was this blurry I can assure you.
SCREAM FOR US.....shell gasstation in Ånge..... This is Ånge for you, when we released "Eleven Shades of Black" we figured that we would have sort of small acoustic set on the back of a trailer and sign some records while we were at it, we were on our way to the gig we did with Whitesnake and this was just a stop on our way from the rehersal-room, but...man..Ånge was really there for us and made this a night to remember. Shell Ånge is holy ground for all bands in the area when this is one of the top selling recordstores in the country, ALL respect to Shell and the people of Ånge, again photo by Bjarne. Gatufesten in Sundsvall, a gig where there was almost no rain. Just before our gig Backyard Babies played and did a great job. There was no sign of any people staying to see us when our gig-time failed to show in the newspapers and the specially made "Gatufesten news"....on top of that one of our guitar-amps went dead when the intro was about to start....panic, but thanks to Dregen in Backyard Babies we got the show on the road so to speak and....yes....the crowd stayed on and we played infront of a many many many as you can see.
same show different angle, so this is what drummerboy Per sees during the gigs, four broudshouldered men with nice behinds, lucky bastard... OK so this is not really from our perspective but I wanted you to see a shot from the sold-out gig at Debaser Medis in Stockholm, I ripped this one from Facebook, if the photographer let's us know who you are...you might get lucky, what a night this was. Four great bands playing before us and we got to close the evening infront of 8-900 screaming fans. Another one from Debaser, also ripped from Facebook. A picture of mutual love. This is is why we love playing. Strange picture when I come to think of if.....me and Jens...no guitars...syncronized choreography...what the hell are we doing?
 This one is from Aveny in Sundsvall. Great night where the show was taped ( is that still the correct term? ) for a radio show called P3-Live. We spent more time than ever on the soundcheck for that purpose....and go figure....when we got on stage we could not hear one single thing...I have no clue on what had a happened between the soundcheck and the gig but let me put it this way....I hope that P3-live won't air the show....or maybe...I would be interesting to hear it since we did not hear anything on stage that is...haha.  And I just had to thow in a picture from the no audience show...we look and remember this show to keep ourselves gounded. This show was the week after the great gig with Whitesnake infront of thousands of people, this show was on the national day of Sweden a great opportunity to get a good crowd ( you would think) and this was the very day that our album entered the Swedish Top Chart at #18 and on the Swedish Metal Chart at amazing #2......believe me when I say that the picture is during soundcheck and there are more people on the picture for that reason. Later that night it was -6 degrees and no people. Sort of a grounding expereince? Yep, a bit quiet in the bus the following day? Yep. Do we have plans for going back to that place for another show....? Nope.  Speaking of degrees, during my writing of this blog, the outside temp has changed from stunning -33 C to a mild -28 C...I can sense it....summer is in the air and we are soon back on the festival stages again...hopefully more of the crowded places that the grouding ones...

Hey, so...(haha) the time has come to summarize 2009 in the words of CORRODED, In short we have done the following:
- Released our debut-single "Time and again"
- Recorded and released our album "Eleven Shades of Black"
- Got robbed in the studio ( still no sign of Jens Telecaster)
- Entered the Swedish top chart with both the single and the album
- Made a video that has been viewed nearly 80.000 times on YouTube
- Supported Backyard Babies and vice versa
- Supported Danko Jones
- Supported Whitesnake
- Supported Black Stone Cherry
- Played ontop of a snowy mountain
- Played on rainy festivals
- Played on ONE sunny day....we remember that one...
- Played infront of no audience at all
- Played infront of thousands of people with a crowd record at Yran to top it off
- Played on a small trailer
- Played on huge stages
- Bought a small tour bus
- Bought a big tour bus
- Crashing with a diplomatic car.
- Crashed with a rock
- Crashed with a wall
- Sleeping in the rain....inside the bus...
- Sleeping in the ice and snow....inside the bus...
- Got a good thing going with DePalma Clothing
- Got photographed by Kristofer Lönnå...twice...poor man
- Signed a booking deal with United Stage
- Changed from United Stage to Skrikhult Production
- Made tons of interviews
- Made tons of radio shows
- Made a tv-show with 800.000 viewers.
- Got the commercial deal for Robinson Karibien at TV4 with "Time and Again"
- Has been on two vastly selling records, Bandit Rock 1 & 2
- "Time and again" has been the most played tune on Radio Bandit from week 28 and onwards.

When you see this list...man...we have been busy...and we get a bit proud of ourselves for doing all of these things...

Peter: 1. The gig with Whitesnake because I had never shared a stage with one of my childhood idols, but the gig at Debaser was also really great
2. Candlemass - Death Magic Doom and the discovery of the band City and Color 3. The internal discussions regarding the commercial deal for Robinson Karibien where I was convinced that we would be the chosen band even when the others were not quite as cetain.
4. I promise to do every thing in my power to get CORRODED to the land of milk and honey and world domination, I also promise to do everythink that I can to contribute with as good ideas for new music as I possibly can and to continue to develop myself as a human and as a musician
Per: 1. Debaser 2. So many good records that I can't pick one

1. Got to be Yran in Östersund, setting a new crowd records never hurts.. 2. Since it would be a bit presumptuous of me to say "Eleven Shades of Black" ( ehh Bjarne?) I would have to say "All hope is Gone" by Slipknot even though it was released in 2008... 3. All the memories that are left in my head before I lost it for the rest of the night
4. Nope, I just break them anyway
Fredrik: 1. The gig at Debaser was great...or... Yran and Gatufesten...Whitesnake..Danko...No I have to say the gig at Debaser-
2. Mastodon - Crack the Skye 3. All the craziness with the band, all the laughing and also crying that we have shared...for better and for worse you know...
4. To blow your mind with our next record...and to become a better person...in general...always room for improvement.

(surprise...? no....this blog also starts with...) ...so, me and Peter sitting in our....well how to put it....apartment/prisonlike area/cell/Gulag/Poland 1972/Clockwork-orange-theatre-bad- nightmare-kind-of-place-making-the hotels-by-the-hour-look-like-first-class-clarion-hotels.....we like it and we sort of call it the home away from home, pictures added, you decide what to call it.
 This is the roof inside the mentioned Gulag-like sleeping quarters, mmmm home... Ok, with that out of my system, I can tell you that we have been rehearsing for the three upcoming shows that will take place in Stockholm on thursday, Eskilstuna on friday and Sundsvall on saturday. The rehersal was jampacked with energy and we are sooooo ready to see the crowd on first row...and second and third also of course. If you haven't bought your tickets yet for one of these gigs you must suffer from one of the following disorders:
* amnesia * stupidity * death
* inprisonment * lack of good taste
* bad judgement in general
if you recognize that you suffer from any of the above mentioned disorders, here is a tip for you...get over it and buy the ticket for Debaser Medis on thursday here:
No but really....just buy the ticket....alright? This will be a night to remember and we don't to get on the ugly side with you we just want you to be there to share this with us and....(.buy the ticket)

Hey all, ( to not confuse any of you the blog will as always start with the word...so ) So, we have been on a little trip to Stockholm to play some tunes un-plugged and also talk on radio....sorry...bullshit on radio that is...we spent approx 4 hours talking about all sorts of things. It was truly great fun and hopefully some of the listeners understood some of the uncontrolled bull that we spread like fertilzer over air. If you understand Swedish you can listen to a sample from the radioshow here
if you don't understand Swedish it might be good fun just listening to the strange language...or the sexy voice of myself and creating imaginary things that I say about you instead... We spent thursday afternoon at Radio Bandit with Jonas as the DJ of the show and it was a strange show since this night was a customer night for the company MTG who ownes the said station along with TV3, Rix FM, Viasat, Metro to mention a few in the giant group of companies. So in the studio on air, we got visitors that looked and listened when we talked and played, fun? Yepp. and then there was party.....as I mentioned in the previous sentence, this is a huge group of companies and a party with their customers.....well no expences were saved I can tell you...they had booked a little band to play at the afterparty called Westlife, Bjarne got naucious from the music and Peter saw it as a chance to dance. This was the sort of party where you have suit and tie and dress or tuxedo and evening gown....did we fit in....no....did Peter care about that on the dancefloor...no. Me and Jens just realized that MTG booked a boyband Westlife and sort of a manband CORRODED to play at the venue...we are probably the same age as Westlife but I would be surprised if anyone would categorize us as boys other than mentally?
We have some kick-ass shows coming up and one of them is a mega-ultra-"cool-as-Kit-from-nightrider-before-the-hoff-got-on-youtube-as-a-drunk-ass"-show at Debaser Medis.
There are still some tickets left to the show and you can purchase your copy here This will be a night to remember, Five of the hottest bands in Sweden at the moment: Hide The Knives, Ithcy Daze, Engel, Raubtier and....CORRODED will play on this particular venue. I can assure you that this will be worth the money, treat yourself to an early x-mas gift, or give it to someone that you want to marry/divorce/stalk/add as friend on facebook/apologize to/show off to/share a special moment with/ insert own cause here/.....clear enough? With that said, we will see you at front row at Debaser Medis on December 10.
Any pictures you say....yes I say...here goes  I know you wont belive me but this is Per getting stuck inside the revolving doors, five turns before he got out, there was a guy at their IT-dept who holds the record of seven spins. This was for real no joke....five turns round....you see the guy at the left, that is Radio Bandit manager Mattias giving instructions to Per....fruitless instructions...the fun stories that you hear featuring drummers happens for a reason..  Mr Travolta i persume? blending in perfectly with the lumber jack disguise  Look at him go...shaking that ass, shaking that ass  Rock'n'roll train Jens with the correct T-shirt to go along with the title. Later that night Jens and Peter got into old school break dancing featuring the classic move.....The worm....blending in even more...ok I was part of if too but no pictures to prove it.

Hey all, so my promise to become a better man by updating the blog on a more regular basis failed and failed hard, what's the excuse you say? Not anyone good enough so I won't even try. A quick update from last time:
Number of crashes with the bus = 0 Number of gigs since last time = 2 or 3.
Number of commercials on national TV = 1 The commercial in question is the one for "Expedition Robinson 2010" internationally known as "Survivor" hence the smart headline....get it...right? The commercial aired the first time on the annual Football gala on TV4 on monday night. Sort of a surrealistic feeling to see and hear the song that we have recorded once and played soooo many times, surreal also to see my old school teacher as one of the competitors on the show, Eva I hope you win, if you do you will do it to the sound of CORRODED. You will soon be known as Robinson-Eva, let's wait to see if that turns out to be a good or a bad thing.
We made a special version of the song with the soft intro that we have been using live since the gig we did as support-act to Whitesnake and eversince. We aslo added strings and some more good stuff to add some more TV-drama to it. It turned out great, coming from me,would you have expected any other remark on a tune of our own? To ease the fact that the blog has not been updated for soooooo long I will give you some pictures from the secret files....the X-files if you will, here goes.....  Foppa the master driver, the kind of driver that does not drive in to things like diplomatic cars, stones, walls etc, i.e a very good driver.  The good looking guys on tour, two pair of pants up and one pair down, our assistant is behind the camera, he is a 2 meter long indian and he likes to throw out sinks out the window....no wait that was the movie in which we would have been type casted. My god, Freddie Mercury is back from the dead, pregnant....
Taking this picture was somewhat traumatic....I don't want to go in to it...ok
Mmmmm yummie, the soundcheck picnic arranged by Per, a romantic touch to it don't you think. For all of you that are not familliar with swedish addictions, one of the things on the picture is the swedish snuff and the other is a cookie, you figure out what is what  Buns of corroded steel....or just buns....

Hey,
The gigs with Black Stone Cherry is over for now, who knows, we might run in to the guys again someday. Great people and great music.
Yesterday night we made our debut in Gothenburg, or really we made our debut in Gothenburg earlier the same day when we played live and acoustic on Radio Bandit Göteborg...the tune? you guessed it "Time and Again"
We got a big thanks from Radio Bandit for being one of the songs on the album that was released in May called.....Bandit Most Wanted Vol.1, why? Because it has now sold GOLD. Enough from the sales deparement for now, I promised you some picures of the diplomatic strain that is know as our bus....and here it is

Hey,
Well as you know, we bought ourselves a bus on Sunday afternoon....
Yesterday when arriving in Stockholm we managed to do the following tricks with our bus, stay with me now:
We took a curve waaaaay sharper then needed at IKEA Barkarby and hit one of the BIG rocks on the side of the road, the rocks are there for the purpose of not hitting them....
We took a curve waaaaay sharper then needed and managed to hit a small Mercedes, the Mercedes had blue diplomatic numberplates and the person sitting in the driver seat screamed and screamed, as a result the police arrived, the firedeparement decided to send over four of their big trucks, a couple of ambulances also made their way and to finish off some emergency cars came by just in case....why you ask...? Well the call came in sounding something like this:
" there is a collision between a car and a big bus, there are still people trapped inside the bus and also inside the car....calling all units" the person trapped in the bus was me laying on the bed reading and talking on the phone and the people in the car was two kids sleeping in their car seat...this proves once more how hard it is to master the art of communication. The police wanted to make sure our bus was approved for traffic because they thought it looked dodgy...it was approved and the police was surprised. More blue-plate cars arrived to the scene....we got the green light to go and we did, we are probably banned from some country now, the problem is that we don't know which.
So after this we was directed down into a parking-garage, we asked
-are you sure that the bus will make it all the way in?
the answer was
-Yes.
The thruth was
-No.
While on the way into the garage we lost one of the handles on the side of the bus to a nasty wall that came to close to our bus, and there you go, accident number three in one day was now complete.
Our driver is looking exactly like our guitar player Peter.....it is Peter and it was his birthday yesterday...what a way to celebrate right? Eventhough we had some minor accidents yesterday Peter is doing one hell of a job driving the bus, don't think otherwise.
Oh, yes,....I almost forgot we played a gig last night as well...supporting Black Stone Cherry at Göta Källare, awesome gig, pretty crowded and very nice guys. There are in Norway today and we are on our way to Gothenburg to support them tomorrow again at Trägårn.
